A civic education card game that simulates citizen assemblies, teaching players how diverse community voices collaborate to address local issues through democratic deliberation.

Mechanics Summary:

This is a real-time civic simulation game where players facilitate citizen assemblies to address community issues.

-        Players invite citizens from different districts (Trade, Temple, Academy, Noble)

-        They then deliberate on the issue - deliberation slots with issues to generate ideas

-        The ideas are then combined to form proposals

-        Sometimes deliberation alone may not suffice and they have to research on the ideas

-        The game teaches democratic processes, representation, and the importance of diverse voices in civic decision-making through hands-on card-based gameplay.

Features:

  • Card stacking mechanic – like Stacklands/Witch hand
  • District-Based Representation System – Common, Trade, Temple, Academy, and Noble districts each provide citizens with unique civic qualities
  • Issue-Driven Gameplay - Real community problems, security, education, and economic concerns drive the narrative
  • Happiness System - Community satisfaction changes based on how well citizen representation matches issue requirements
This is how the game works
  • NPCs provide context, feedback, and educational content about civic processes
  • Voting system and option to convince your citizens by educating / discussing – simulating citizen assemblies

- Addition of personal interaction with citizens (Bonuses / Ability to persuade regarding issues)

- Favor system with each district (passing some resolutions which may be favorable to a district will increase bonuses / resources)
